Earth Day 2010

http://www.epa.gov/earthday/

Earth day is April 22, 2010. Come join us Saturday April 17th between 9:00am - 1:00pm at Dublin City Red Trabue Nature Park for their annual park clean-up and invasive plant removal for Earth Day 2010. Dublin is looking for volunteers to help with the overall clean-up of the Dublin Parks. As a community service Phoenix Tree Care donates labor and equipment to this annual event to help contribute to a more environmentally friendly earth.

You can also check your own community calenders to volunteer in your local parks and neighborhoods. We encourage everyone to do their part to help keep our communities clean.

Remember, everyday is Earth Day!

Tree & Shrub Insect and Disease Control

Our Health Care Director has developed an integrated approach we call (PPM)-Progressive Plant Management. We are incorporating some low toxicity pesticides with horticultural oils, soaps, Agri-Fos, and beneficial insect release. These treatments will be used in conjunction with our Fertilizers, Mycorrhizae, and Compost. This integrated approach will allow us to provide your landscape with full service Tree and Shrub care.

Emerald Ash Borer

http://emeraldashborer.info/
Emerald Ash Borer has swept through most of Ohio and is spreading rapidly. If you have Ash, be prepared to treat indefinitely or lose your Trees. We are using Imidacloprid as a basal drench for smaller Trees and Tree-Age (triage), a trunk injection for larger Trees. Tree-Age is the most effective treatment available for mature trees and only requires one treatment every 2 years. Be sure to schedule your 2010(EAB)Emerald Ash Borer Treatments recommended for April, May or June. Please call the office or email if you have any questions or concerns.
